Father’s School

Father’s School Was Held for the First Time

Hallelujah! During Golden Week, Japan’s spring holiday season, Tsukuba Love of Christ Church held Father’s School for the first time.

In recent years, more attention has been given to the role of fathers in raising children. Many hospitals, local governments, and organizations offer classes for expectant fathers, parenting seminars, and other programs to support families in the early stages of childcare.

At our church, however, this gathering was not focused only on practical childcare skills or the challenges of early parenting. It was also a time to consider, in light of the Bible, what it means to stand before God as a father.

Rather than learning techniques alone, participants were invited to reflect on their inner growth, the way they relate to their children, and the meaning of their presence at home. These are not always easy questions, but they are important as each household continues to grow together.

When a father takes time to think about his relationship with his children and his place within the family, that reflection can become a blessing for the whole household over time.

We give thanks to God for this day, surrounded by the smiles of families and by praise offered to God. Amen.
