Happy Easter! The Joy of the Resurrection and the Blessing of New Life
Happy Easter! On March 31, the brothers and sisters of Tsukuba Love of Christ Church gathered at Banpaku Kinen Park in Tsukuba City, a well-known place for cherry blossom viewing, to celebrate Easter as we welcomed the beginning of spring.
In the soft spring air, brothers and sisters arrived at the park one after another, looking forward to the day together. The cherry blossoms had not yet bloomed, but the budding trees and small spring flowers beginning to appear here and there welcomed us like quiet signs of new life.
We spread large blankets over the spacious lawn and began our picnic, sharing the lunch boxes and dishes everyone had brought.
Homemade sandwiches, colorful fruit, Easter-themed desserts, and many other dishes were set out, making the meal a warm time shared together.
After the meal, the children ran around the park happily, and the adults joined them with smiles, enjoying the time together.
During the picnic, some walked around the park in small groups, while others enjoyed simple games such as frisbee and ball games.
Even without the cherry blossoms in full bloom, our hearts were filled with gratitude. Through this time together, we were reminded of the hope given to us through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
May the peace and joy of the risen Lord fill not only those who gathered that day, but also the hearts of all people. We also pray that the time shared during this spring picnic will continue to strengthen our life together as brothers and sisters in the church.
We give thanks to God for this spring day and for the new life we have in the risen Lord. Amen.
