Mission Statement of Tsukuba Love of Christ Church
Tsukuba Love of Christ Church is built upon
the risen Jesus Christ as its one true foundation.
Through the gospel of our union with Christ, we seek to lead each person into the freedom of the new creation—freedom from sin, shame, and spiritual darkness.
Through discipleship, we pursue the spiritual formation of every believer so that each person may grow into the image of Christ, marked by holiness and love.
We are a multicultural community of believers from 15 nations, centered around Japanese and Korean believers, united as one body by the Holy Spirit. Together, we worship, pray, proclaim the gospel, and participate in God’s mission.
Cross Mission
We embrace Cross Mission as the missionary calling God has entrusted to our church.
The Horizontal Mission (━) From Tsukuba to Japan, and from Japan to the World
Beginning in Tsukuba, we proclaim the gospel throughout Japan and to the nations of the world.
Japanese, Koreans, and people from 15 nations become one in Christ and serve together in God’s mission in Japan and throughout the world.
The Vertical Mission (┃) From Generation to Generation
We pass on the heritage of the gospel and faith to the next generation, raising up disciples and workers for God’s mission from generation to generation.
We reach young adults with the gospel and raise them up as disciples of Christ.
Through Cross Mission Christian School and Cross Mission Kindi, we nurture children in Christ from an early age, passing on the legacy of faith and mission so that each generation may raise up the generation that follows.
Our Vision
Free through the Gospel.
United in the Love of Christ.
From Tsukuba to Japan and the World.
From Generation to Generation.
