Sports Day season has come to Tsukuba City!
Hallelujah! This is Tsukuba Cross Mission Christian School.
The traditional autumn sports day season has come to Tsukuba Cross Mission Christian School again this year.
Every year on Sports Day in October, our school holds a sports day for all students from elementary school to high school, along with students from Christian churches and working adults, as a place for intergenerational interaction.
Long rope skipping, basketball and relay!
At this year’s sports day, we held a long rope skipping competition as a new attempt. Teams from all grade levels participated in the competition, and the venue was filled with excitement with their synchronized jumps and calls. It was impressive to see everyone, from elementary school students to adults, working together to take on the challenge.
We also enjoyed lunch time in the gymnasium in a circle. It was a time of interaction through food, showing each other the lunches we made and bought, and sharing our impressions.
In the afternoon, we held an indoor sports competition!
Basketball: A tournament for mixed grade teams, table tennis: Individual and doubles matches, dodgeball: The venue was excited by the heated game.
The long-awaited relay was the final event of the sports day. Each team showed the results of their practice, and there were loud cheers at the moment of the baton pass! .
In particular, when the final runner ran hard, the entire venue came together to cheer him on, making for an emotional finale.
