A new form of education!
There are several international schools in Ibaraki Prefecture.
However, most of them are preschools and afterschools for children under 6 years old, and there are only a few schools for elementary and junior high school students.
While the issue of foreign residents and child-rearing has come under close scrutiny, the reality is that multicultural co-existence in education has yet to be achieved.
However, with new types of schools being built these days, there are more and more options for schools that are suitable for children.
Cross Mission Christian School (CMCS) is another international school that uses a full-day school system (5-day weekday school system). We hope you will positively consider our school.

Cross Mission Christian School|Tsukuba CMCS
Cross Mission Christian School (a.k.a. Tsukuba CMCS) is an international school based in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, with a Christian spirit.
Like most international schools, the school has a set curriculum and a five-day week system.
We are sorry to say that at this time we are unable to offer a curriculum in which students attend school only one or two days per week, as we have adopted a “full-day (5-day weekday system)” format.
We appreciate your understanding in this regard.
We have the following three strengths
・Small class sizes
・International School
・Christian school
Although we are an international school, our small class size makes it easier for children who are not comfortable in crowded places to adjust to our school than other international schools.
In addition, by bringing together children of various nationalities and ethnicities, children who are stuck in the extreme homogeneity of Japan are able to recognize that there is a world like this in Ibaraki Prefecture and Japan.
And being a “Christian school” in Ibaraki Prefecture, which is our identity, makes it possible for them to have the conviction that “I am loved by God,” which is more important than studying, rather than just being a temporary refuge.
This is an experience that is difficult to obtain outside of a Christian school, and it is also a guideline for life.
Our objective is to offer an education deeply rooted in the love and wisdom found in the Bible. In a time when the focus is often on speed, efficiency, cutting out the superfluous, and striving for more, we extend an invitation to return to an education that is firmly grounded in the love of God.
If you are looking for an international school in Ibaraki, please consider Cross Mission Christian School.
