【2023 February】 Participation in Tsukuba City's Adopt-a-Park Activities

What is Tsukuba City’s Adopt-a-Park Activity

Hello! We are Tsukuba CMCS.

We are pleased to announce that our school has registered with Tsukuba City’s Adopt-a-Park program.

Tsukuba City is looking for organizations to participate in the Adopt-a-Park program, which is a park beautification program.

Under this program, citizens foster parks as “foster parents” and engage in activities such as cleaning and proposing planting plans.

The city will provide the necessary tools, dispose of trash, and, if desired, place a sign with the foster parent’s name on it.

Participation is open to groups of two or more adults, and can be voluntary groups such as neighborhood associations or children’s groups. Once a year, the city will provide cleaning equipment.

The children also quickly became involved in cleaning and weeding the neighborhood’s Kajihata Children’s Park out of love for the neighborhood, and we are grateful for the sense of community love and social contribution that this program has fostered.

The students and staff of our school will continue to provide a quality Christian-based education while aiming to serve Tsukuba City.
